Elbow #6

I always did love your elbows
the ones in the morning
the ones in your shirt
the ones you rest on the table
No one else ever talks about
your elbows
At the job interview
they just ignore them
You return home
broken inside
trying to hide them
I coax them out
Nobody else needs to understand you,
I tell them.
I lift them up
Rub them on my face
let the corners of my mouth
send them a message
