from ginger

red car beach-baby wailiní
on some Hollywood shit
palm trees sand-trapping my heart
like some real old Cadillac. iím thirsty
iím drowning. inside my castle is a crab
made of heartbeats. whereís the rub
we rub shoulders till they burn
and peel high-cholesterol  salt-lick
shoulders start to heal.

*

you: carrot in front of me.
my knees bald knees brittle
while i try to turn around
but canít catch a break. back
in time there was a meal crying
out to impress you. There
was a time when your hair
wrapped itself around me
little traces left in dust for me
to follow home squinting it
into focus against the sun
because carrots are good for sight.

*

what can I say, Iím spunky
jinx. i will hunt you till it eats
me like a wakeup call my teeth
in a dream. go piss yourself then
piss on me Kool-Aid in the bathtub
umbrella me oops like a margarita.
what do you mean my pictures
are always drunk? somewhere there
says ďThe Blood of Jesus ChristĒ splattered
with red paint and that is where you exist
fucking yourself while fucking
someone else.

*

iíll make you rue the day
tomato soup iím an unstable
cunt bitch OK build a home
inside you gently rocking
back and forth and keep it
there my boat laps your pulse
like the spray from the back of a Jet Ski
baby. Some kinda pie red-white checkered
tablecloth carry me away in crumbs

*

now nothing but a little
read idea tabbing windows
through my blood became
resilient like so much ice.
Anchors up burning holes
elsewhere there has been
a freckle bark stripped from
poplar branches wove a basket
in the sun the closer you float by
the less likely iíll be rescued
a street says what? ďGet your
tires off my block.Ē
